This site is really a low-tech way to get freelancers and clients to meet. Browse the projects, bid on the ones of interest, and wait for an answer. If you win the bid, you're on your own as far as negotiating the details, deadlines, cost, and means of payment (check, bank transfer, PayPal, etc.). As an editor/writer, I have landed several projects from this site over the last 2-3 years -- not enough to get wealthy, but more than enough to cover the price of membership and make it all worthwhile.

Hi everyone,I want to know how much do you charge for a print ad copy? like magazine ad or newspaper add, including slogan and body copy.And how much you charge for a corporate slogan, like Volkswagen- Das Auto... Thank you very much for feedback.

I would say that to begin with a modest rate would be ideal. With experience comes self confidence. Always ask for what you feel that you rightfully deserve.

Writer's Market does serious research about rates for each of their annual compendiums. The most recent data, culled from all kinds of clients in the real world of professional writing, list a number of rates, depending on what the writing is for. Content gets you the least, ad copy gets you the most. Content on the low side is around .35 cents per word. Ad copy on the low side is around 1.63 a word. Personally, I hate charging per word since I have to count them then recount them then prove that's how many there are. Big pain. I charge per page.
